Aminia Dada Innovations Launch Report

Aminia Dada Innovations (ADI) under the auspices of The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) stewardship and incubation, attained it’s first milestone of it's launch on 28th April 2022. The day coincided with the International Girls in ICT Day. The launch was significant as it was in line with the organisation’s objective of aiding access for more girls in STEM and ICT. Aminia Dada Innovations is seeking to empower girls by harnessing technology as a socio-economic tool as a means of mainstreaming gender in all aspects of national development. The success of girls in all aspects of life through technology is at the heart of the organisation’s programmes.

The 2022 Theme for this Girls in ICT celebration is “ Access and Safety”. In line with the United Nations global celebration, ADI had speakers from diverse sectors who addressed the state of Online platforms in Kenya- and how it affects development in the political and socio-economic fields. Aminia Dada Innovations launch was graced by key leaders who have been trailblazers in the promotion of women safety online through various engagements with like-minded partners. ADI is indebted to their generous contribution and commitment to the course of women participation in all spheres in our communities and societies. To our hosts, The Kenya Red Cross Society, we are inspired by how you utilize technology for humanitarian intervention by the use of digital identities. The concept, execution and modus operandi is well curated and is considerate of the data protection laws. Precisely what we, as ADI believe in as we conduct interventions while upholding the dignity and safety of women wherever they are. Under The Kenya Red Cross Society, The Kenyan Ministry of JCT, Communications Authority of Kenya, The Institute of Economic Affairs and all our development partners, we are honored by your commitment and support towards Aminia Dada Innovations.
